19th Century Painted Secretary
Wish we knew more about the history of this one of a kind Folk Art secretary, which appears to be Swedish. Painted a deep teal with lavish floral embellishments this piece also features two monograms and the dates 1823 and 1886, perhaps indicating when two of its owners took possession of this lovely piece. This piece is in its original antique condition, with no restoration work undertaken, but lots of charming patina. All drawers open. No key present.
