This piece measures 17.5 x 25 inches. It is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, which is attached to the back of the piece and is hand signed by the artist and the Editions Press director.

This piece has been mounted on a linen-covered board with an acrylic shadowbox frame.  The value is in the art which is splendid - both frame and matting have mild imperfections.

Karel Appel (1921-2006) was an influential Dutch painter and sculptor who founded the CoBrA group in 1948, a post-war avant-garde art movement. His work was the subject of numerous solo exhibits in museums throughout Europe and Japan.
