Extra Large Herend Rothschild Cachepot
This pattern was first created in the mid-nineteenth century to portray the story of the Baroness Rothschild's loss of her pearl necklace, later found in a tree--a toy for the birds.
This is an extra large tapered pot with gilt edged rim and delicately hand-painted birds, insects and butterflies. In excellent condition; a rare find with a Herend stamp on the bottom.
